Today’s neighborhood clean up yielded some bountiful booty for the community garden. Wood, chairs, pots, tomato cages, even a little cherub to watch over the place.
What a beautiful day and a great event to share with the neighbors of FOPO as well as our adjacent neighbors in Mt. Scott-Arleta hood. This is a yearly event that the two neighborhoods share and I really enjoy getting to work together across the Foster Rd. boundary. My favorite part of the day was the Christmas Carnage. A whole Christmas display came in. You know the kind with lights over metal frames of deer and a sleigh, snowmen and the like? In order to recycle the metal frames, the lights had to be taken off off. The crew worked joyfully, tearing little white light guts from the bodies.
