No, it’s a good thing! If you came down to help plant spring bulbs this afternoon, you were too late! What I thought would take all day, the planting of 700 spring bulbs and 200 Garlic bulbs, was achieved through teamwork in two short hours. Big squishy day-after-Christmas kisses to the bulb busting team of Jim, Glenna (my awesome in-laws visiting from Bend), John (who always gets genius points), neighbors Jim, Patty, Pat and Daniel. Thanks, also, to Margaret from Woodstock and Glynis from North Portland who were just a few minutes too late but it was still lovely to see them. We also have a confirmed 1200 gallons of water in the cistern! Just imagine those Spring blooms popping up all over the place…followed by Spring, Summer and Fall native bushes and flowers, various perennials and wildflowers. It’s going to be a bug and bird paradise.
February is the time for bed allocation. You know you want one, so stay tuned!
